Cal Stars Basketball

Coach Ra begins his third year as a Cal Stars coach after co-coaching the 4^th grade MVP flight and 5^th grade teams during the 2009 season with his wife Tricia Reyes and as an assistant coach of the freshmen blue team during the 2008 season. Each 2009 team experienced winning seasons that culminated with a league championship for the 4^th graders and multiple tourney wins for the 5^th graders. The 2008 high school team compiled a successful 20+ win season.

 

Ra coached the 2009 Northgate JV team to a 19-7 record and is currently an assistant coach for the Northgate Varsity team. He aspires to instill his love for the game and his knowledge of basketball fundamentals to his players. He believes that athletics is the foundation for teaching teamwork, responsibility and communication to young adults.

 

He is a graduate of Columbia University in New York (Go Lions!) and a teacher/activities director at Northgate High School. He anticipates a fun 2010 season!
