The Play Hard Academy (PHA) is fast becoming one of the best Girl's Basketball Camps in the Bay Area. PHA is going on it's third year of running their highly popular and talked about skills and fundamental camps.

Players that attend PHA all rave about the Coach/Camper ratio and the active participation that is involved at PHA. PHA runs 4 camps per year:

WINTER CLINIC - January - March - This is a 3 month Saturday only camp that is 65% Fundamental Skill Development and 35% of game play scrimmage wherein the skills and fundamentals will be reinforced. The Winter Clinic is limited to 60 Campers from Grades 3rd - 8th.

SUMMER CLINIC - Last week of June - The Summer Clinic is a week long clinic where all campers receive intense instruction over a 4-5 day period. The Summer Clinic is limited to 75 campers and will range from grades 3rd-12th Grade.

CYO BOOT CAMP - Last Weekend of September - The Fall Boot Camp is an INTENSE 2 Day Basketball Camp that is designed to give the campers a quick prep weekend before the campers begin their CYO or AAU Season. The Fall Boot Camp is limited to 50 Campers ranging from 3rd-8th Grade.

The 1st Annual CYO Boot Camp was a huge hit this past weekend (October 10-11) at Wagner Ranch in Orinda. We sold out the first year camp with a total of 50 Campers registered for the camp.

All campers improved their ball handling and passing as this was the main focus of the 1st annual camp. It was capped off by a couple great 5 on 5 match ups that featured some 1st ever baskets on one court for some new basketball players and behind the back no look passes on court #2 for some of our more advanced campers.

We hope to have everyone back next year.

 The 2009 Play Hard Academy was once again a great sucess. Once again the camp sold out, this time with 60 total campers in attendance. Campers again ranged from 3rd through 7th Grade and they attended the clinic every Saturday from Janauray through March

 The 2009 Play Hard Campers continued to develop their basketball fundamentals. 85% of the 2009 Play Hard Camp was focused on defense. Campers learned proper body balance, how to close out and defend outside shooters, how to defend on ball, off ball and playing defense in transition both on the run and in a stationary position.

At the end of the 2009 Play Hard Camp closed with their first ever Fundamental Olympics wherein all the campers competed against each other in various fundamental competitions.
