Coach Kelly Sopak and Chelsey are no strangers to one another as Sopak was her AAU coach following Chelsey's freshman y. The 14U team went 5-2 at the AAU Nationals in Lafayette, LA.
Sopak on Christensen: "As a player, Chelsey was one of the hardest working, team-oriented players I have ever coached. She always came prepared to play and left everything on the court. As an opposing player in high school, you always had to be concerned about where Chelsey was on the floor. From the day I met Chelsey when she was 14 years old, she expressed an interest in becoming a basketball coach. Her attitude and knowledge will help our program, especially our younger players."
