Cal Stars Basketball

Cal Stars played Piedmont on April 25th and despite a season-best effort of eighteen points, the Stars lost 28-18.  Points were scored by Layla (2), Paige (2), Olivia (2), Julia (4), Maaeva (6), and Cassity (2).  We grabbed sixteen rebounds, but we had opportunities for many more.  We worked on rebounding at the last practice and continued to make progress with our shooting, which has improved considerably since we started.

 

The girls are demonstrating real progress in their games and at practice with their communication skills and their ability to perform complex drills proficiently.

 

Our next game is against...Piedmont...again.  The team believes we can beat this team, and we'll get the chance to do that this coming Saturday at 12:00 PM at Alhambra High School.  We're ready to win.  We simply have to remember to rebound and raise the intensity of our defensive play.
