Cal Stars Basketball

Northgate and Cal Stars alum Courtney Hamilton (2010) offically became a Wildcat today as she signed her National Letter of Intent with Chico State. The signing took place today at Northgate High School. Courntey's parents Char and Ted were on hand to celebrate the signing. In addition some Courtney's frinds were there to cheer her on as were former Northgate coach Kelly Sopak, Northgate Athletic Director anbd former Northgate Assistant Coach Mike Ahn and of course Courtney's Northgate Head Coach Mark Bucklew.

Hamilton, a senior at Northgate High School broke the Northgate school record in assists for both a single season and career. In addition, Hamilton also reached the top 5 all time in scoring with over a 1000 points for her career.

Most importantly the Broncos reeled off 99 wins with only 18 losses while Hamilton ran the point at Northgate. The Broncos captured back to back league title and 3 straight NCS Division II Championship Runner Up finishes during Hamiltons career.

Courtney also played 2 years for the Cal Stars helping the Elite team win more than 40 games and place/trophy in every major College Viewing Event. Hamilton will become a Wildcat and immediately push for playing time and help Chico State expand upon their NCAA Sweet Sixteen Appearance last year.
